Joseph (Joe) M. Keegan, Director, Systems Product Development, Boeing Commercial Airplanes

Since early 2020 Joe Keegan has led the BCA Product Development Systems team. In this capacity, his team develops innovative systems architecture and technology solutions for future and derivative airplanes and product enhancements. He also engages beyond Commercial Airplanes as the Enterprise Domain Leader for Systems Engineering and Autonomy.

In May 2018, Joe became Boeing Commercial Airplanes’ first Director of Mobility Transformation. He was responsible for the development of future airplane concepts and inventive technologies to drive Boeing into its second century.

Previously, Joe served as the Product Development leader for systems and technology and led Features Development. He has held leadership positions during the development of the 777X, 787, and 737NG. Joe joined The Boeing Company in 1988 as an intern and began his career on the development of the original 777.

He holds a bachelor of science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Idaho and regularly visits his alma mater as a member of the College of Engineering Industry Advisory Board and the university’s Academy of Engineers.
